COMBO MASTERY HAS ARRIVED!
Combo Mastery allows players to upgrade an entire combo, rather than individual cards. Upgrading a combo will make it stronger for ANY recipe that creates that combo, AND it automatically completes the research of EVERY recipe for you! This is intended to be end game content and is not for the faint of heart -- mastery will take time and dedication!
Combo Mastery unlocks at Player Level 12.
MASTERY STONES
Combo Mastery Stones () are a currency that can be used to purchase Mastery Tokens (
). Mastery Tokens can be used to perform the actual Mastery research on a combo.
Combo Mastery Stones () can be earned in various areas of the game such as Special Event Rewards or Quests. Similar to Golden Turds, Mastery Stones (
) are a special currency that can be used for a special area of the Store.
You can also choose to spend Mastery Stones () upgrading your favorite combos to Combo Mastery Level 1! Save those Mastery Tokens (
) for a later level if you wish.
Visit the Store and click on the Mastery tab to view which Tokens are available!
MASTERY TOKENS
Mastery Tokens () are the item needed to upgrade the combo. The tokens are specific to a combo: if you get tokens for Super Dance Squad, the tokens cannot be used to research mastery for anything other than Super Dance Squad.
In the store, there is a Mastery tab which will have a random selection of Mastery Tokens () to purchase.
In this store tab, you will see 4 options per day:
- Two options are purchasable with Gems (
)
- Two options are purchasable with Mastery Stones (
)
Here's a bit more information you may be wondering:
- The Mastery Tokens (
) in the store are generated randomly
- Every player sees the same offers each day
- The offers include a mix of base, reward, and premium combos
- The offers are not limited to the current BGE
- You can purchase the store offers more than once per day, but the price will increase each time
- The offers (and price) reset every day at 18:00 GMT.
Any Combo Mastery Tokens you receive for a combo you already have at maximum mastery will automatically convert to Mastery Stones (1 token = 100 Mastery Stones)
Collect enough Combo Mastery Tokens () for your upgrade and you'll be ready to visit the Research island to begin your mastery!
Note: The stats of the card showed are not stats of an actual recipe. They are sample numbers intended to show you which parts of the card will be buffed from Combo Mastery (yellow numbers).
COMBO MASTERY RESEARCH
Mastering a combo will be similar to Researching one.
Tap the Research Island in the main menu and then on the Golden Research Chamber, on the right.
Instead of individual cards like on the regular research menu, you'll see combos. Combos that are ready to be mastered will appear first in the list.
Drag a combo into the Research slot and you'll see your Combo's current boost, the amount of Mastery Tokens () needed, and the boost your combos will get once the research is done.
Please note: the boost is not always going to be a straight % across the board for all the skills, health, and attack of the card. Any yellow text is what part of the card will be buffed. In the above example, $300 Knife receives a boost to all of its skills and health, but not to the attack value.
There are multiple levels of Mastery so you can keep improving your cards as you collect more tokens.
Mastery provides powerful boosts and is meant to be end-game content, the research will take some time! But if you're feeling a bit eager, Professor Farnsworth will help you speed up that research using Gems.
Once the Combo Mastery research is done, ANY recipe that creates the mastered combo will be automatically researched and powered up with a boost! If you have an affected combo currently researching, the research time for the recipe will be reduced to 0, so you can instantly unlock them.
Regular Research Speed-ups cannot be used to speed up Combo Mastery.
SHOP, LEVELS, AND RESEARCH TIME
Every time you purchase a Mastery Token pack in the same day, the price will increase. For the Gem packs, the price increases by 250 Gems with each purchase. For the Stone packs, the price increases by 500 Mastery Stones with each purchase. The price resets every day at 18:00 GMT at the same time that new offers become available in the Mastery Shop.
