Ready for a little something new? We’ve been working hard to improve Throwdown and are excited to share the latest development with you: Showdown Challenges!
The Brian Showdown Challenge will begin on Tuesday September 3rd and will end on Friday September 6th. As with most of our events, the start and end time for Showdown Challenges will be 18:00 UTC. Each day of the event will provide 8 energy, and there will be no refills. More details below!
What is a Showdown Challenge?
A Showdown Challenge will be similar to a Clash with a few variations.
Instead of a Battleground Effect (BGE) that boosts a select set of combos, a Showdown BGE will provide a 100% boost to the stats and skills of a specific input card and all combos related to it. The input card may be a Character or an Object card. Showdown Challenge BGEs will not boost Power Cards. Just like in Clashes, the Global Battleground Effect does not apply.
Who can participate?
While Clashes are a Secret Fight Club only event, players of all levels and experience will be able to participate in Showdown Challenges. Each Showdown event will have two tiers, splitting players into groups based on their arena rank.
Arena Rank | Thowdown Tier |
---|---|
Aena Rank 1 - 10 | Standard |
Arena Rank 11 - 15, SFC | Elite |
The BGE will affect all rarities of the boosted card. For the first run, the Standard Showdown will have a BGE that boosts Stewie and the Elite Showdown will have a BGE that boosts Brian.
How will scoring, ranks and rewards work?
Scoring in Showdown battles will be very similar to Clash: the difficulty and points you earn per battle will increase as you go up in level. Winning will award the battle reward points displayed for that level and will advance you one level up. Losing a battle will award points for the previous level and will demote you down one level.
Additionally players will be divided into groups of 100, each with its own ranking! Battle to collect as many points as you can, climb the ranks and reap the benefits. There will be no milestones in this event, but due to the divided rankings it will be much easier to obtain rank rewards.

After the event, we will review player feedback, performance, and other data as we plan the future of Showdowns.
